Hello All,
Have to export around 28K images to .MDB file, where in Data Manager export option its taking much time and sometime getting crashed.
Heard we can export Images using MDM Publisher, If so request you to help me out how exactly it can be done using MDM Publisher.
Regards,
Girish
Hi Girish,
There is no such option of exporting images from MDM to .mdb file using MDM Publisher.
By publishing, MDM creates image cache folder but I guess this is not what you are looking for..
I suggest you to export the images using Data Manager and split the export into smaller chunks of data.

Hi Yonatan,
I am following the second option where I am deviding the images into chunks.
But I saw in many posts which says images an be dumped from DM using MDM Publisher.
Just want to know is it really possible???
Even I have checked in MDM publisher document where I did not find anything which says about export image.
And also want to know about Image cache folder, will contains any images or just a junk folder??
Regards,
Girish
Hello Girish,
The Image Cache folder will contain actual images. This can be achieved after publishing the desired publication into the Adobe InDesign.
You can see (or set this folder) from the InDesign Menu bar - MDM > Image Cache > Set Folder...
Note that this action requires families and creating spreads. In my opinion, it is exhausting process just to fetch the images from the MDM repository.
Data Manager is the best way for this action.
Go to Images table and filter the images by Data Groups. Then select all records(images) in the
Records pane and right-click > Save Original to Disk...
btw, can you point me to the posts where it is said that images can be saved using MDM Publisher?
(i'm just curious to see it.. )
Cheers,
Yonatan
