Hi Experts,

Recently we used own inventory for construction of new plant & corp office. Now these materials need to be capitalised.

Anybody pl suggest how to proceed?

Is any stock movement type available with which capitalisation (direct posting to asset numbers ) can be done..

Regards,

JS

Hi J S,

You can post movement type 241(Goods Issue to asset) by giving asset number which is suffice to meet your requirement.

Hi J S,

You can use FB01 to capitalise the asset only for non-material issue related transactions.

For material issues, that 241 movement type will be apt.

Anyway when use FB01, you shall debit the asset by giving asset number in account field with transaction type "100" and credit the offsetting account.

Screenshots attached.

Hope it solves.

Hi js,

You have to talk with your PP and SD Users and also the the consultants and  define the process. This is the first step, and then define the flow. Questions:

+ Their production process is 100% make to order?

+ The stock of cement that they consume is produced spetially for for internal consumption or just take some cement from a MTO order, or what is the process they need?

Technically speaking,  Your MTO process is with valuated sale order stock ?

If yes, you can move the sales order stock to own (movement 411e), and then consume to the CO order, there is no science in this process

If  your MTO is without valuated sales order stock, technically is not possible do the movementfrom sales order to own but indeed work without valuated sales order stock its not common.

There are lot of solutions, but depends on the process in the company... eg you can create a PP order MTS to produce cement and consume to your order...

Wish this give you ideas.

Thanks,

Hi Rajendar,

These are valuated stock ( comprises adhesives, grouts etc. )& selling in the market also.

Now we used these products for constructing a building (for own purpose) & hence that also to be capitalised.
