hi Paul,

how is the report viewed?

if viewed via an opendocument url (sOutputFormat=P) then perhaps the settings in the adobe pdf viewer can be altered on that person's machine...

Adobe Acrobat X Pro * Viewing PDFs

Page Display preferences

Default Layout And Zoom

Zoom
Sets the magnification level for PDF documents when they are first opened. The default setting is Automatic. The Magnification setting in File > Properties > Initial View overrides this value.

One of the 3rd-party Crystal Reports desktop schedulers listed at http://kenhamady.com/bookmarks.html allows you to automate the process of exporting a report to pdf and setting various properties for the pdf file. Among the properties you can control are:

  • Page Mode:    NormalOutlines/Thumbnails/FullScreen/OCG/Attachments
  • Open Page      (1 is default)
  • Zoom         (75 for 75%, 0 for default, -1 for fit in window, -2 for fit width)
