Dear colleagues and experts.
I want to find out more about Streaming Process chains in SAP BW 7.5 SP4, any Information about this Topic will be extremely apreciated.
At the moment we managed to implement a double layer data model in which very simple data is extracted every 60 seconds from a HANA Table into a one table (only Inbound table) ADSO and from here on into another one table ADSO (same structure as the first ADSO).
Two Streaming PC, one for each layer, are started by a Streaming Metachain (Starts every 60 seconds).
Question 1) The first ADSO already contains data, the second one is empty, the data in the first ADSO is loaded to the second one even before the Metachain is started/activated or planned. How is this possible? Is this a consequence of the Streaming modality?
Question 2) Untill now we only focused on the PULL Scenario, How does the PUSH Scenario work? Any tipps or suggestions?
Thank you very much in advance.
Kind Regards
Daniel Centili
Hi Daniel,
What do you mean by "Two Streaming PC, one for each layer, are started by a Streaming Metachain (Starts every 60 seconds)" ??
It is that you have schedule two sub-chain in streaming mode and then the metachain contaning them also in streaming mode?
And about PUSH scenario :- This is basically for ODP based source system. When ever data is loaded into the underlining operation data provider, a notification or event is sent for the same which results in automatic execution of process chain which is schedule in streaming mode.
