Hi guys!!
I try to connect SAP IDM 7.2 with a SAP portal 6.40 but I got an error during initial load.
It's an SPML exception error (HTTP 404 not found) that occured when trying to retrieve information (pass ReadASJava...). See attached file.
I saw that it can be caused when spml service is not activated but when I go through http://host:50000/spml/spmlservice, I got the message "SPML provider successfully installed and configured"
Do you know if IDM 7.2 is compatible with SAP EP 6.40?
Can it be caused by a lack of authorizations (spml_read_action and spml_write_action)? I know that I have administrator role but but don't know about UME actions attached to it.
Do you have other ideas?
guillaume
Guillame,
I don't know of any reason that they would not be compatible.
I have seen authorization related issues where you need to add the roles you referenced.
However based on your error I don't think you are contacting the sever. Can you confirm that from your IDM runtime you can ping the server?
Matt

Hi!
Thanks for replying.
Yes, I can ping the server and the http port is well opened (50000).
Actually, I've seen in the SAP document, Identity management for SAP system landscape: Configuration guide, that concerning AS Java/portal the release 6,40 is indeed compatible.
However, for release Under 7.0, SPML patches must be deployed on AS java (SAP note 1064236).
According to this note this SPML problem has been fixed with SAP NW 04 SP 22 and unfortunately I'm in SP 17 level. And this note contains corrections for SP 19 minimum...
