How to create biar file for BO Server on AIX

Hi,

I am using SAP BO 4.0 SP6 , my BO server is on AIX.I want to create a biar file to import the webi reports and connections from Development environment to Production environment.Please let me know the commands or any documents which i can refer.

Any help will be highly appreciated.

If you have access to CMC then you can do it using promotion management or if your DEV can talk with PROD the you can directly promote contents from DEV to PROD.

Hi Kuldeep,

I have access to CMC , also my Dev can talk to Prod .Can you let me know how can I directly send the reports etc from Dev to Prod.

Hi,

• Login to CMC,
• Click 'Promotion Management' option on the right side of the CMC Home page screen,
• Create a Job,
• Add Source system (use 'Login to CMC' option),
• Add Target system (use 'Login to CMC' option),
• Save Job,
• Add Objects (Reports, Dahboards, etc)
• Click 'Manage Dependencies',
• Select the dependent objects by enabling Check boxes,
• Click 'Promote' button,
• Go to 'Promotion Jobs' home page and Click 'Refresh' to check whether the job is completed or not.
• When the Status of the Job becomes 'Success', then, You are done.
