Is 40ECS Mandatory ?

Dear Friends,

Till date 40ECS Feature is not completely configured for my client for all allowance grouping. Need to know whether it is optional or  not?

This feature is used to determine the factor which is multiplied with

the Reimbursement, Allowance or Perk (RAP) amount to calculate the

amount payable to the employee. It is used to determine number of children maintained for allowance grouping

Hi Nayak,

40 ECS feature is used to multiply the Factor with the Reimbursement, allowance or Perkd amount maintained in table V_T7INA9.

If you are only maintaining 40ECS featurs, it is not useful. you have to also maintain the Table V_T7INA9 with the eligibility check field should be set to "Check for employee characteristics" and wage type flag should be set to "Amount". Then onlly it will work.

Dear Nayak,

Yes, it is optional but it is the one of the useful indirect valuation module in HCM. you can write the different logics on wage type level and assign the same in this feature (return value of the feature is your program). Please go through the below process document for the same.
