Issue CR Enterprise Browse Folders

Hey @ all,

after Upgrading from BO 4.0 SP6 to 4.1 SP1 Patch 1 we get a strange error in Crystal Reports Designer.

Everytime i create a new Report with BEx Query including variables i get an error if i try to open the folder were i had save this report.

I create a  new Report on a bex datasource, this query has optionals variables. I save the report in my personal folder. Up to this point everythink works fine. But now if i try to reopen this report out of CR Enterprise Designer i get an error Message with the following text:

"Error logon Business Objects.........

Error:

........ Item '8' does not exist in enumeration 'null' (FWM 04016)

Is that a know issue or does anybody had the same error?

We couldn´t desing any new crystal Reports on top of BEx querys incl. variables.

Hi Carsten,

As per my understanding  you said that you can successfully create a new report based on BEx data source. So there is no problem with your Crystal Reports for Enterprise 4.0 designer.

When you try to open the report from migration folder, you was unable to open the report. So the issue is with migration. The error message which is displaying is also an migration issue of Bair file.

(FWM04016) Item '{8}'does not exist in enumeration'{0}'

Cause

There is invalid enum item in your BIAR file.

Action

Please make sure your BIAR file is valid.

So Can you tell me how to migrate the your reports from 4.0 to 4.1?

my suggestion is their is the issue with BAIR file, please check that...
