Dear PM colleagues,
is it possible to set up the field selection in the PM order header in a way, that the field "planner group" is mandatory
for a certain combination of "planning plant" and "order type"?
My interpretation of the field selection customizing is, that it's only possible to have one influencing criteria for a field.
Did I miss something or is it really only possible to 1 influencing field for the planner group?
Best regards,
Patrick
Greetings Patrick,
You can't set a single influence for two influencing fields i.e. you can't make Planner Group mandatory based off two other values.
But what you could do, is try to set up separate influences for Mandatory, Display, Hidden... E.g. make the Planner Group mandatory based off one Order Type, and set it to Display for the Plants that are OUTSIDE your condition.
As an example - say you have Order Types PM01, PM02, PM03 in Plants 1000, 2000, 3000... and you want the Planner Group mandatory for PM02/2000 only. You could try setting the Planner group to Mandatory for influencing Order Type PM02, and to Display for Plants 1000 and 3000. But this way will prevent you from entering the Planner Groups for some Plants at all.
Unfortunately, you can't do the same with Input setting only, due to the way the influences behave.
Otherwise, you could just develop a solution with a user exit, to check if the field is populated upon saving

Hello together,
big THANKS to all of all for you quick & helpful answers!
@ Sebastian Lenartowicz: the workaround, which you (perfectly!) described in detail will solve my issue. Thanks for this idea out of the box!
Cheers,
Patrick

Hi,
This combination is not possible for PM Order Header, there is possible Field Selection for Order Header Data and Reference Object with Planning plant or Order type only.
So, you can check through BADIs Enhancement.
ALM_ME_ORDER_HEADER MAM 1.0 Orders

Hello
No its not possible to have field selection in the PM order header in a way, that the field "planner group" is mandatory for a certain combination of "planning plant" and "order type".
In SPRO OIAN If you select the Influencing field as Planner Group then Only Planning Plant available for Selection In Content Field.
So combination will not work here.
Go for Enhancement for this i already done it in past same kind of requirement.
