Installation of Data Services 4.2 SP01

Hi ,

I Have installed in our system with SAP Data Services 4.2  on Windows 7  64 bit  laptop for demo purposes.  I want to upgrade to 4.2 SP01.

As a prerequisite I have to install IPS 4.1 SP02 .  But when I am trying to install IPS4.1 SP02  but I am getting prerequisite error like have to install Windows 2008 server.  How can I install IPS 4.1 SP02 on my windows 7 64 bit laptop or not possible to install DS 4.2 SP01 stand alone on windows 7 laptop.

Any luck to install IPS4.1 SP2 on window 7.

follow the below link and try this trick once it might work . in my case versions 4.0 worked on Windows 7 by using this command .

Hi Dharnesh,

I have installed since 4.2 version in the same way.  But 4.2 SP01  is not supporting  for windows 7 i.e  for standalone system . Information Platform services 4.1 SP02 onwards it is not supporting for windows.

Hi,

The server components of IPS/DS are not supported on Windows 7 but the client tools are .

This applies to both versions 4.1 and 4.2.

.

Check the PAM for more details
