Asset Accounting - prevent asset negative balance

Hello All,

My business requirement is to prevent asset negative book value.

Current configuration is allowing to go asset negative book value. now user want to prevent that, when user try to post depreciation with more than asset net book value it has to throw an error.

like same, when try to post credit memo with more than asset net book value system throw an error. it should allow less than or equal to asset net book value only.

Could you please tell me to get this where i need to change the configuration.

I have done changes as per Nishu. even though system is allowing to post credit memo in T Code ABGF & ABGL with more than net book value. Please let me know what I have to do.

Hello Suneel,

This is the problem due to your field status of your desired screen layout. Please follow the procedure go to T.code AO21 then select your screen layout from list, if you are using standard one then it is 1000 if not then can select your defined one.

Select screen layout 1000 -- then go to left side dialogue structure double click on Field group rules then at the 17th number you can see Negative Values make it to No and save.

This activity will disable the field for selection in OAYZ.

Hi,

You can restrict negative postings through below setup

1. Negative postings allowed option is available in Asset master level - AS02 -> Depreciation areas -> Double click on each area and check the option "Negative values allowed". System will allow posting negative values to this asset only.

2. The same option is available at Asset class level - > OAYZ, Double click on each area and check the option. System will allow negative postings on every asset created with this asset class

3. T.Code OADB - You can restrict at depreciation area level through customizing

Hi,

Please check below settings.

1) AA-Valuation-Deprn areas-Define deprn areas and check for each deprn areas

NBV - Only positive values or zero allowed

Ord deprn - Only negative values or zero allowed

2) Check in asset master deprn area tab (double click on deprn area) and uncheck negative values allowed.
