Add fields to Enterprise Search

Is there a way to add fields to the enterprise search?  i.e. Supplier Part Number.

I don't what will be the answer of others, but IFAIK and after digging into the layout of the corresponding form (FormUID = 11740000) the answer to your question is sadly no...

Your request is one of the reasons for which I had to create an addon for a customer: to be able to search on all relevant text fields of the item master data.

Something I did as a test some nights ago...:

It works only when cockpit is enabled, but it's possible to modify it
