Do look for the version of browser being used. Ensure it is being used in compatible mode for IE.

Hi,
Thanks for reply.
Where is the 32-bit version of java - didn't realise was a 32 and 64 bit version.
On xp at monnet interanlly so 32-bit one being used in most cases but could be other user has 64-bit version but soon many users moving to Windows 8.1
How can we check if they are using 64-bit version?
Thanks
It usually does appear with 64-bit mentioned in control panel. Check the same. Also you mentioned are there are users who are able to view the reports without any issues. So how about we install the same java patch for affected users as well.
Also can we try other options from BILaunchPad preferences. Just to ensure that issue is with Java and nothing else.
In addition.:

uninstall java 1.7. if found........needs 32 bit java, preferable 1.6.0_45..
.install the java 1.6.clear java cache and browser cache .....add runtime parameters in java panel
"-Xmx1024m" (exclude Quotes).....close and restart browser (IE)

There are some limitations using Java 7 with SP04 Patch 5 and SP05.
Hence you can try with the Java 6 if available.
You can also give a try by Downloading 32 bit version of Java 1.7.0_25 and install it on the local machine.
Important: But make sure that you are using 32 Bit Java version.
please check the below for clearing
Java cache: How do I clear the Java cache?
Browser Cache: How do I clear my web browser cache?
Clear Browser cache - Open IE browser, click on tools\Internet options. Click on General , click on 'Delete' on Browsing Histroy section. These steps will vary for each browser.
Java cache- Open Settings\control panel on Windows. Double click on Java icon. Java Control Panel will open. In Temporary Internet files section- Click on Settings, Click on 'Delete Files'
If the above steps are not fixed your issue, try Java 1.6 version.
user might have incompatible Java version. Can you check what version of Java is in the user machine?
