SAPSID_01 instance no service is not starting +mscs windows

HI All,

I am facing isue in windows server (clsuter) in node1 SAP sid _01 service is not starting after register and deregsiter the service also its not working .

Node2 is working fine

I am facing error in MMC & starting the service below error

SAP_SID 01 servi cee on local computer started and then stopped.some services stop automatcially if they are not in use by other services or programs.

Please sugegst

Hi All,

I have resolved the issue ,the issue is in OS level saploc share has been removed my OS admin.

After giving the SAPLOC share to usr/sap directory I am able to start the service .

SAP server up and running fine now .

      Could you share the detail information about both SAP Node instance numbers or SAP MMC screen shot?  and

   In the SAP_SID01 service properties (Under the control panel - go to administrator tools -select services) you can check the profile path it may be using with drive letter you may require from "E:\usr\sap\SID\SYS\profile\START_DVEBMGS01_HOSTNAME01” to change

“\\(virtual Hostname)\sapmnt\SID\SYS\profile\START_DVEBMGS01_HOSTNAME01"

Or

     Just failover SAP group to node 1 and then start the services it should start the service as your mention SAP_SID01

Hi Sriram,

I have alreedy checked failed node 2 and still node1 is not stsrating .Service is not starting .

I am using the profile pf="\\KBINPRDV1\sapmnt\PRD\SYS\profile\START_DVEBMGS01_KBINPRD01"

still no luck.

Dear Buddy,

Drop that service and recreate and you should restart your node A and Node B..

Then it will work..

Hi

In your start-up  profile path should be in Virtual name of the SAP group not  on the local system could you check the service properties. 

Kindly check the below mention path -

"D:\usr\sap\SID\DVEBMGS01\exe\sapstartsrv.exe" pf="\\(Virtual host name SAP group name) \sapmnt\SID\SYS\profile\START_DVEBMGS01_(Local hosts name)"

Virtual name = In Failover cluster SAP group virtual name (not on local node1)

Local host name = Node1

In Node 1  go to command prompt go to folder E:\usr\sap\PRD\DVEBMGS01\exe rename the two files as mention below way

                              rename the file 'sapstattsrv.exe to old_sapstartsrv.exe'

                             rename the file ' 'sapstattsrv.exe.new to 'sapstattsrv.exe'

Restarted the cluster node1 and node2 as well but no luck still same issue whil registering the service itself its shows messge "service not started"

Please sugegst any otherwy to start the service or any alternative its very urgent for me .

@ Mahendran No passwords changed nor patches applied.

we have shifted resources node1 to node2 for tesing purpose of intefarce.

Resources shifted normally in Node2 ,After restarting the Node1 in MMC also server entry diasppered and service is nots tarting..

1. Can you check the SAPSTARTSRV.exe file version same in all the location?

2. In windows services just compare the SAP services properties

3. Still the same issue better you can raise the SAP Oss Support call
