Envirnonment: Windows Server 2003 IDES Test System
Action Performed: Oracle Upgrade 10g to 11g
Result: Oracle Upgraded initially SAP was down and the DISP+Work was not working Fixed the problem by reading SCN notes Solution provided by Mr. Juan Ryes. Changing the Passwrod of the SAPSR3 User.
Now the System is up and Running Status in System shows Oracle Upgraded to 11g, but the DISP+WORK is still Yellow saying Running but not connected to Message Server.
I can login to SAP IDES System and perform all the Activities running Tcodes etc. all the Work Processes are running as well.
Can somebody provide helpful solution. Please.
Thanks in advance.
Either the problem with sap mmc or with the Kernel patch. Search more on these two.
Thank you !

Hi Aps,
1.) Have you tried a reboot ?
2.) Solution
When the kernel was changed, the sapstartsrv.exe file was not replaced.
This is because the SAP Service was not stopped at the time of the
exchange. The service is automatically restarted after stopping,
as long as an MMC containing the system in the object list
is open. Please close all MMC instances, including those that may be running on personal PCs and then stop the SAP Service. You can now copy the sapstartsrv.exe file to the Run directory again.
source : 396309 - Dispatcher remains yellow, although the system is running
3.)Please have a look at the following

Thanks Mahendran, Marius and Bhudev for quick replies I am going to test all the solutions. I think it should be related to Kernel update. I might need to update the Kernel Patch.
Thanks a ton. If stuck I will ping again.

Dear Buddy,
Think you changed the SAPSR3 password as SAP.
The same password you need to update the sapuser table which is having ops$ schema s.
After finishing your Oracle upgrade, have you done System copy ?
I need few more details..is it Single stack or dual stack ?
Thank you
Mahendran
