Changing the subject on an email

Former Member

Hi,

A simple enough process, a report runs which generates a spool file which is then emailed to an email group.

The subject of the email is automatically generated and uses the report name.

Does anyone know how I change this? Is can be the same text for each one so nothing fancy.  But as it's being emailed to senior management I'd like to tidy it up.

Cheers.

Dear Paul,

please use the solution from the note
No 1101211 - Using spool request title as e-mail title

If the correction is already in your system, than just call the report RSPO0021 and activate the entry USE_SPOOL_TITLE.

When you make this setting, the title of the spool request is used for the e-mail.

Regards,

Attila

Hi, thanks for the suggestion.

I've run USE_SPOOL_TITLE and retested.

The Spool Title for this particular test is "List RM07MLBS_BAS" so I would hope to see that as the subject for the email.

But the subject of the email is still coming through as the name of the report, not the Title.

Have you tried to apply the note to the system? Maybe the correction is not in your system. Give it a try with SNOTE and check, if it can be applied or not.

Note does not contain any valid correction instructions unfortunately.

This is sadly an error in the note framework. Can you please download the note from the SMP and upload it manually to SNOTE?
