Deski to Webi Migration

While migrating Deski Reports into Webi via Report Conversion Tool does a default universe is created...??

Prerna,

    When you have DeskI report using Universe1 and then you convert it to WebI, the report conversion tool converts the DeskI - WebI report using Universe1.  The conversion tool converts you DeskI to WebI, there is NO Universe conversion. 

If you want to convert a UNV to UNX then you need to use the IDT tool.

Need much more information on what exactly you are asking and explain your workflow.

Hi All,

The Deski Report is based on free hand SQL and we have to migrate these reports from Deski 3.x to Webi 4.x. We can achieve this from RCT but while converted does a default universe will be created in 4.x side...??

As universes are not supported in Deski 3.x

Yes that will Depend actually,

If the deski reports are in CMS and you connect the RCT In connected mode then yes a universe on the fly would be created if the source is Free hand SQL Or stored prcocedure

If you connect to RCT In Standalone Mode then you woul not be able to convert the freehand SQL Report .

Please provide more information. What do you mean with default Universe?!
