J2EE Upgrade Problem

Hi Experts im upgrading a stack of a SOLMAN 7.01 from SP 22 to 30 and at the configuration part in Java im getting this error:

Error while executing Task with input file ReadInstanceProps.xml and task READ_INSTANCE_PROPS. Could not read properties. Variables [/J2EE/StandardSystem/CentralInstance/J2EEDirectory, /J2EE/StandardSystem/CentralInstance/BoxNumber] not found. A possible reason can be that the start release is lower than 6.40 SPS09.

    Hello experts,

I've been reviewing the file /usr/sap/SOL/DVEBMGS00/j2ee/cluster/instance.properties

is where the SUM looks for the variables and i dont find I find neither:

    [/J2EE/StandardSystem/CentralInstance/J2EEDirectory, /J2EE/StandardSystem/CentralInstance/BoxNumber]

anyone know how to put variables in that file???

    Hi,

It looks to me that SUM tools is not able to read the instance.properties or is reading the wrong details .Please check that the cluster details are correct. Was this system built via system copy?

Please provide the kernel details installed on the solman.

What is the SUM tool version that you are using.

1401712 - JSPM/SAPJup/SAPehpi/SUM cannot detect all cluster instances

    Thanks

    Hi Palazon,

Goto the directory and open the instance.box.number parameter.

    It is compromise <SAPSID><instancedirectory><hostname>.

Now open the config tool and check the parameter over there

    Hello Experts,

the instance.box.number parameter it is OK in the Configtool this are the properties:

    hostname SOLMAN

    SAPSYSTEMNAME           SOL

    SAPSYSTEM               00

    INSTANCE_NAME           DVEBMGS00

    BOX NUMBER SOLDVEBMGS00SOLMAN

Why the system was not seeing this parameter?
