Report displays blank or hangs

Hi all,

We developed some set of reports and for this set of reports "Refresh on open" option is enabled.

My issue is when I open the report , the report just display white back ground and it shows load (X) symbol. If I try to open the same report multiple times then at one point, the report opens with parameters ( after entering parameters and run the query . It works fine with displaying data )

What would be the amount of data being retrieved? Are they heavy reports?

let us know the duration to fetch the data from webi rich client tool and if the reports query is fired directly to the database.

Amount of data is very less. I think hardly ~ 1000 values.

Report run time is 8 secs ( without hanging )

Does the same behavior occurs with the JAVA panel?  Look like a product bug to me for which you should open a SAP message and also create trace or fiddler to see what is going on..

The issue is with every browser. I tried in chrome, IE, Mozilla. I don't think issue is not related to that.

There are couple of Webi fixes ADAPT in BI4.0 SP07 and above that may be related to your blank page with "refresh on open" issue.

In the BI launch pad, when you open Web Intelligence documents one by one continuously and quickly in Web Intelligence Rich Client, a blank page can appear, instead of one or more documents.

In Web Intelligence, if the data provider retrieves more than 1 million rows, a blank report is generated.

Check the Java version is installed is compatible with your version of BO.

Jawahar,

The report view is set to Web  ( Not in Rich Internet Application) in the BI Launchpad preferences. So I don't think it requires java to load and we don't see java loading ( that's how we need for users ). Please confirm.

what is the Data- source you want to report off?

Do you have the same Problem with all available WebI viewers?

Yes the problem is with all users. Data source is Sybase IQ.

But I don't think it is a database issue. Because the same report works fine after opening it many times.
