Message Prioritization in AE for messages that goes through IE

Dear Experts,

as in PI version 7.1, there is a message prioritization feature for the advance adapter engine. Does this mean that the message prioritization is only for interfaces that does not go through the IE because it is using AAE?

If I create a new rule at the message prioritization for an interface that goes through the IE, will the rule applies to the interface too?

Thank you,

Suwandi C.

Hi Suwandi - AFAIK, the 7.1 feature is applicable only for the interfaces which runs on AAE.

However we had this feature for classical scenarios which uses IE in prior versions as well i.e. we have an option to create dedicated/configure filters for queue prioritization.

a very good explanation @

Hi Hareesh,

I've looked at the document that you give. I think that's the same document that I saw before and yes it does has a GUI mapping and that means the interface will go through IE right?

But what I wonder is that, after configuring the Message Prioritization as shown in the first document and comparing the same situation in another system where the Message Prioritization has not been configured. I storm 1 massive interface data (which has been configured as Low in system A, and no configuration in system B) than after having thousands of message waiting in "To be delivered", I send another interface (which has been configured as High in system A and no configuration in system B)

Both systems show the same behavior, the later interface gets the message processed successfully even though there were thousands of message waiting to be processed before at another interface.

I really wonder if Message Prioritization does make a difference.

Thank you,

Suwandi C.

Hi Suwandi - I think you need to run both the interfaces in parallel to see the difference.

Hello,

Thank you for the reply.

Do we need to restart the server after configuring the Message Prioritization in AAE?

a little OOT, what about after configuring the Maximum Concurrency in the CC, should we restart for the configuration to take effect?

Thank you,

Suwandi C.

No Need to restart for Maximum concurrency.

I believe its the same with Message Prioritization in AAE as well.
