PC runs an ABAP program and get its status

Hello,

We would like to run an ABAP program (or of function module) which will return to the PC status( for ex. SUBRC).  if it finished suceesfully the PC step which run the program will be green and if it failed it will be red.

Is it possible?

Yes it is possible. Try to search for document for custom ABAP type with status.

In program give message of type 'E'

Why can't you use existing methods.

We have create message option which can report(thru mail) us whether our process chain(step) was failed or failed.

As you need also possible. you can ABAP Program step
