Loading Message - until ALL components are refreshed

Hello Experts,

We have atleast 5 combo boxes or filters, 1 pie chart and 1 bar chart and 4 gauges in the dashboard. It takes 6-8 secs to load/refresh the components depending on the filter selected. While the user is waiting for the charts to be loaded, I want them to see a loading message. The loading message should stay until ALL the charts / gauges are refreshed completely.

I found some links on the same topic, but ppl have given feedback that the loading message does not stay as long as the total refresh time.

Is there any easily way to accomplish this requirement without adding any overhead to the dashboard.

Appreciate your responses as always

How is the data loading, via Data Connections or direct BEx Query?

Data Connections have the loading indicator so what I do is use a '1' for when loading and '0' for completed/idle for all the connections and have a SUM(A1:A5) in A6 for example of 5 potential connections and then an IF(A6>0,"LOADING","IDLE) formula in let's say A7. So then you put a Panel holding your loading message with dynamic visibility on status cell A7 where it only is showing for value "LOADING".

Then you could do the inverse for your main dashboard components (perhaps wrap them all in a canvas or panel for ease) with a dynamic visibility on A7 where status = "IDLE".
