DB13 - DBA_COCKPIT

Hi there,

Something really strange has happened on one of our development systems.

There has been no patching, kernel upgrades or recent SAP notes applied

to this system.

When I enter DB13 or DB02 instead of going into the calendar or space screen

I am now faced with a pop up screen informing me of the DBA Cockpit !!

This has never happened before and it is only happening on one out of our four

development systems. I could understand if there had been any upgrades etc.

but absolutely nothing has.

Any ideas anyone?

Andy

Hello Andy,

As you have mentioned it is a Development system so there is a possibility that someone might have applied SAP Notes.

Can you paste the pop-up you are getting.

Hello Andy

If the system is above the patch level mentioned in these SAP notes then this could be the reason.

1028624 - Overview of DBA Cockpit for Oracle

1072066 - DBA Cockpit: New function for DB monitoring

Hi there,

Sorted it out now with a new license.

See note

Solution

The DBSL error is corrected in 7.00 as of patch 241 and in 7.01 as of patch 79. (Also see Note 1413668, point 3.)

For the DBSL exchange, you must also manually delete the corrupt '0002LC' records that have already been created from the table SAPLIKEY, for example, using sqlplus:

SQL> delete from sap<sid>.saplikey
     where likey like '0002LC%'
       and (value is null or value not like '0008%');

Important:
Do not inadvertently delete '0002LK' records.
