Load Incremental data in MongoDB using SAP BODS

Hello,

We have a requirement in SAP BODS 4.2 SP 8 version, where we have MongoDB as our Target system. We have connected oracle tables as source and Mongodb as Target with some transformation as shown.

We can perform full load in Mongodb but unable to do incremental load in same. I am unable to find any transform (similar to table comparison) which can compare and load the incremental data in Mongodb.

Can anyone guide me on how can I go ahead with this.

Thanks & Regards,

Vidula

Can you tell me what is the target object which you have placed in the data flow. Table comparison only works on Target tables.

Hello Arun Sasi,

Firstly, thank you for your response.

In data flow Target, we have used MongoDB containers (like tables in RDBMS). In BODS term, MongoDB Documents as shown below in datastore.

Yes, since Table Comparison can only be used on Tables, it is not possible to use with these containers and we need some similar transform or even any other way if possible to load incremental data in these containers.

Let me know if you need more details.

Unfortunately MongoDB cannot be used as a Target in Data Services. Only it can be used as Source. Please check the Product Availability matrix for DS 4.2 SP8**

Hello,

It is strange that it says it can only be used as source. As you can see in the image above i have successfully used MongoDB as target and also I was able to load data in the document. The problem I am facing is with incremental load.

May be I will have to check some kind of workaround to load this incremental data. I will keep exploring this and update as I get some solution. Meanwhile any inputs are appreciated.

Thank you again for your support.

Vidula,

You can use MongoDB containers as a target but not sure it will work for Increment load. You need to reach SAP Support by raising a ticket with them. They should have a workaround
