Restrict available displayattributes in UWL personalization

Hello community,

my problem is that i need the option to personalize the UWL-View in terms of sorting order, displayed rows etc. But i need to restrict the columns that can be added to the view. Some users add all columns and report not filled colums like "escalatedBy" which we do not use at all. Is there way to restrict those displayattributes?

Many thanks.

First thing that came to my mind was the UWL XML configuration and to check the columnOrder attribute of the View element.

It allows you to hide columns for the view. Unfortunately it does not prevent users from adding the columns by themselves by using the peronalization view.

Here is what View - Universal Worklist - SAP Library says:

"Other attributes will not be visible in the list view, but the user can personalize the view and add any display attributes into their view."

So the way to do the task would be to remove the DisplayAttributes definitions from the XML files.

This, however is impossible for those defined in the uwl.standard xml file as it is a default configuration that cannot be overwriten.

I am afraid I cannot suggest a solution for those types that are defined as displayAttributes globally, as escalatebBy is defined in uwl.standard configuration.

    Bets regards,
