Difference between SAP NW gateway & SAP gateway

Hello Experts-

SAP NW ABAP instance have a gateway each. I have seen some blogs on SDN abt SAP NW gateway.

How are they different? can you please let me know.

Hi,

NW gateway is a product that has the below patch and is used mainly with Odata communication. NW gateway used the odata adapters to talk to the backens ERP or any other Business suite.

Patches:

GW_CORE 1 or 2

SAP IW *

SAP NW gateway talks to SUP which is used for mobile application .

SAP Gateway what i get is normal gateway service that is in sap system to connect to sap system or standalone gateway. Just an example in the note below.
