key figure clarity

When we create a’ new ‘key figure in RSA1 ie in infocatalog that right side panel of RSA1 ………the name of key figure gets duplicated in combo box of create /change planning area ,and when we need the ‘new’ key figure to be included in the planning area we can push it to right side from left side of combo box with that arrow key……so what we create as key figure in RSA1 is reflected in combo box ? and the only place we can create a key figure is info catlog RSA1.and no whereelse we can do it?

Please just provide a right or wrong to my understanding.

the data from infocube to planning area has been successfully copied but the planning area /planning book /data view/key figure is not reflecting in SDP94 .i am quite surprised..

    Hi Rahul,

key figures can only be created in RSA1 and they need to be included in at least one info object catalog.

the key figures then has to be included into a realtime info cube.

afterwards if you use this cube in a planning area the new key figure will be available in the planning area.

but be careful with the settings for the key figure. I am not sure anymore about BPS, but I think there were also only summable key figures allowed (so don´t create a key figure with different aggregation behaviour).

Since the question sounds more like a planning question next time you should ask it here:

    Business Planning

    regards

    Cornelia
