Not Able to Delete a Calculation

Hi,

I am using BI4.0 SP6.

I am trying to delete a calculation named "Custom Calculation 1", but when right click on it and choose "Custom calculation > Delete", the analysis crosstab just reads "Processing..." forever.

Hi Michael

Is the issue limited to only that one calculation or other calculations?

Can you edit it? If so change the name to something and change the calc to be a constant... eg 0.

If that worked, then you should be able to delete.

The issue is limited to just this one calculation. I am not able to edit it. When I try, the editor does not pop up. I am able to edit and delete the other calculations.

It took a very long time to customize the report with all the calculations so, I really would like to be able to remove this one calculation and not have to rebuild the entire report.

Hi Michael,

I don't believe there is a way to edit or delete the calculation without involving a dialog. I think the best thing to do is examine the logs to see if an error is present. In the category of I'm not sure if this will work but it's worth a shot. I was having similar trouble deleting a calculation and I was able to solve it by reodering a couple of columns and then deleting the calculation from the rows. After deletion, I was able to reorder the columns back to their original state.

Unfortunately, that didn't work. I tried several things, but was still unable to delete that one calculation.
