fi-gl reintialization.

Hi All,

Fi works on after image delta. I have my intialization done couple of years back. Now i want to delete entire data from the ods and keep only from current month.

Question is if i delete the data from ods and reintialize is will all the record for current month come back.

Or for application like FI do i need to follow certain procedure to do it.

after image use time stamp procedure to bring the data which has caused confusion to me just want to ensure about it before going ahead...

Hi Sachin.

Give the selection parameter in your infopackage as mentioned by Dinesh. In selction parameter give the present month in "FROM" and year to some 9999 year in "TO". So that u need not do init load for every month. If u give only present month in the selection parameter then u will not be able to have data after your present month data.

Hi Sachin,

I guess it would be similar to the other delta extractors. When you reinitialize you would obviously give the selection in your infopackage for the current month so there should not be a problem. You may need to delete the delta queue in R/3 via RSA7.

You may wait for some more suggestions beore taking any actions.
