WPC page tagging - how does it help in searching?

Hi,

We are on Portal 7.4 SP3.

We want to find out how tagging a WPC page helps in searching. We have seen this statement "You also see the tags that are provided for better search results" in this doc (http://sapteched.com/vworkshop/presentations/PMC166/PMC166_exercises_solutions.pdf )

But we are not sure how this is configured or how it works. Clicking on the tag that appears on top of the WPC page says no search results even though we have tagged other WPC pages with the same tag.

Does it need TREX to be configured?

Any indexes / taxonomies to be created?

There is no document this. So any help will be appreciated.

Hi Ajay,

WPC Tags are using TREX, you can find the documentation for it here:

Because you don't have the TREX configured that's why the results are always empty.
