Conversion of Planned Orders

Hi Experts,

I have got an requirement, our client where converting planned orders to production orders by checking their plant capacity, remaining they are procuring from outside by converting planned orders to purchase requisition manually.

Now i want to make this process automatically to reduce their daily activites. can any one guide me what are the configurations and master data to be maintained.

Hi Sundeep,

You can't automate fully to meet this requirement in SAP..... but here is the way around.....that too on broader way......

you need to use capacity planning functionality for this...make all the relevant configuration and master data set up.... Now check the available capacities for planned orders collectively before converting to Production orders...you can use CM52.....then based on this you can take decision whether to convert to Production orders or Purchase Requistions....

Before implementing capacity planning read carefully concepts and start implementing.....
