Transport

What happens whenwe move config scenarios to production.. Do we have to manually go and change the configuration scenarios to point to production business system? Or is there an easier way to handle this?

Also when we are transporting the R/3 proxies, do we need to handle anything else?

You have to create transport targets in SLD so that a part of the configuration is automotically changed while transporting.

The communication channel parameters, definitely you have to change manually.

    This page should help you.

      Hi SSG,

We can transport XI objects thru CMS or through filesystem(import/export).

If using CMS we need to set the transport targets in the SLD as rightly pointed out by Kannan. The rest of the communication channel parameters can be changed before the imported data is activated in the target system.

For R/3 proxies just the ABAP data needs to be transported to the production client. While importing the XI objects the XI adapter communication channel parameters(Target Host, client )need to be changed appropriately.

      Hope this helps.
