Query designer help needed

Hi all,

I have a question regarding the following scenario within Query Designer.

I want to output a single Key Figure which can come from two different sources depending on an If Then Else.

e.g.

IF Characteristic = 'A' then Key Figure to be displayed = Key Figure A

ELSE IF Characteristic = 'B' then Key Figure to be displayed = Key Figure B

Or with real life scenario;

for Key Figure - "Sales Qty"

IF Historical Flag = Y, then use KF Sales Hist Qty, else use KF Billing Qty.

Any help or pointers will be appreciated and points awarded.

Many thanks,

Shane.

    Miantain two selections

    1. Include KF Sales Hist Qty and include Historical Flag and restrict with Y

    2. Include KF Billing Qty and include Historical Flag and restrict with Y (exclude here)

It will be displayed accordingly for the relavant flag values.

    Hi,

First of all in BEx we cannot read the string values,we can only read the numeric values.

So if your characteristic contains numeric values then we can write if else condition.

If you can share some sample data then we can also think of giving it a try with the help of restricted Kf's.

    Regards,

    AL
