doubts with JDI ?

Hi,

Im new to JDI, I just have a couple of questions to start with. We are on JDI SP13

Is there a limit in number of tracks that can be created?

How can i delete a track, i.e. track data, sc, its DC's completely from DTR?

would be nice if someone could let me know if there are any OSS notes to be applied, before me actually running into problems and later searching for them?

What I know from normal java projects is that, we maintain COR,DEV,REL workspaces. how are we going to do that with JDI? I see that there are only two workspaces created for a SC/Track i.e. DEV and CONS.

Is this product mature enough for handling large projects, is it being used extensively now a days, becuase i see many problems with this?

Regards

Yogi

Hi Yogi,

As far as i know there are no limitations on creation of tracks. However someone else may be able to throw more loght on this.

You can delete the track from CMS Landscape Configurator.

OSS notes there are many. However some of the most important ones are

840524,768110,840523,737368,797038,754143

For Dev and Cons phase active and inactive workspaces are maintained. All the development is initially done in inactive workspace and activated into active workspace.

Hope this helps.

Hi sidarth,

just to be clear, I wanted to know that if a track is deleted from landscape configurator as you said, will it delete the corresponding SC and DC's from the DTR. Could you please confirm on this..

or should I

1. Go to SLD to delte manually SC and Product

2. Directly to go to DTR and delete workspaces using DTR administrator plugin.

3. delete all the files, by checking out for delete.

Thank you

Hi Yogi,

You can delete Track in CMS, where as SC in SLD and DC and DO in DTR administrator plugin.
