Usermapping - Integration of Windows Filesystem

Hello,

i want to integrate a windows file system in the KM on Portal 6.0 on 6.40 SP14 (windows). I can see the repository in the KM. But the W2KSecurity manager is not working. I can see all folders, even the folders I normaly should not see! I think it is because I did no usermapping!

But that is my problem the windows system is the list of system for usermapping. There is only the webex system.

I did all steps of the admin guide.

Best regards

Olaf

Hi Olaf,

The reason you can see all folders is probably because you have a "System Principal" role (e.g. content_admin_role).

System Principals override security manager.

You can see the list of System Principals under:

System Administration -> System Configuration -> Knowledge Management -> Content Management -> Utilities -> System Principals

Hope that helps,

Yoav.

Hi Yoav,

thanks a lot for your reponse. I will test but I think thats the reason!

@Robert:

I still don't have the option to define a usermapping.

I went through the admin guide:

The first step was to create a windows system and the only way to it is in

Content Management - Global Services - System Landscape Definitions - System - Windows System

But the System does not appear in the usermapping list.

If I create a system object in PCD I only have the option to create R/3 systems and some other but no windows system.

Thanks a lot.

Best regards

Hi Olaf,

besides creating a Windows System in the CM system landscape you also need to create a system in the portal system landscape, so that you are able to map the 2 systems. The second step is described here (in SAPHelp): http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/en/f0/64b252473e9a479fcd275c79853620/frameset.htm

If, when selecting "New" -> "System" you don't have a "KM Windows System", then try to create a Windows System Template first. For this you go on "New From PAR" -> "System" and select "com.sap.km.cm.repository.manager" and then "KMWindows_System".

Hope this helps,

Robert

Hi Olaf,

you have to make sure that you set the parameter "User Mapping Type" of your new PCD System (SAP Help step "Creating a System in the Portal System Landscape")to "admin, user" in order to be able to see the system in the User Mapping context of "Personalize" (Portal).

Hope this helps,

Robert
