How to create a hierarchy for a characteristic

Hello,

I hope this is the right space. I searched for BW and this seemed the closest option.

I'm new to SAP BW but not to BI on other platforms. I can't work out how to create a hierarchy against a Characteristic InfoObject. When I right-click on the object the "Create Hierarchy" option is always greyed out. What do I need to do to enable this feature for a particular Characteristic?

We are using BW 7.0

Hi

Go to your info object --> change mode --> Go to hierarchy tab, select hierarchy(red square).

You can maintain info objects which will be part of hierarchy by clicking on external char in hierarchies.

later click on manitain chars and create hier str by using text nodes/char nodes.

Char node is the last lead node.
