Unable to run report with some OLAP connection

Hi Experts,

We are unable to run some webi reports based on OLAP connection with some particular users. For example,

Database User

BEx

BEx_1

BEx_2

User_1

User_2

ERROR

User_3

ERROR

Please find below the screenshots from IDT. With some BEx-User combination, we are getting error. We have used specific username and password in the OLAP connections.

  • With User_1-BEx_1 combination, we are having no error while browsing metadata.
  • With User_2-BEx_1 combination, we are having error while browsing metadata.
  • With User_3-BEx_1 combination, we are having error while browsing metadata. But this error is different than above one.
  • With User_3-BEx_2 and User_2-BEx_2 combinations, we are having no error while browsing metadata.

I have attached the screenshots as image files.

Any idea what can be wrong ?

Thanks and Regards,

Arijit

    Hi,

the screenshots show a snippet of error message.

You might want to take this further, and trace the DSL_Bridge APS + WebIntelligence Processing Server. Then look: what Errors |E| do the trace logs show? In parallel, trace in BW using transaction RSTT or ST05. What's happening in BW at that instant?

Stepping back for a moment, this looks like a pure BW error - the 'bain' code is definitely an ABAP termination. See the information:

" warning : ( brain 746 ) initial range-low for customer exit " <--- that error text is searcheable on the wider internet, and will be an ABAP problem with the routine. Similar to this thread http://scn.sap.com/thread/1690600

    Regards,

    H
