FPM - Printing

Is the common approach to printing with FPM applications - Smartforms or Adobe?

Or is there a FPM solution?

Hi Jesse,

Yes there is a common approach which is following by FPM and adobe form too.

FPM appliation has provided a Enable Print option in general setting of the OVP page.

From what I see all FPM provides is the icon and the event FPM_PRINT but everything else needs to be developed using either Smartforms or Adobe. Or, is there a solution / API that majically prints.

HI Jesse,

As per my understanding till now we can Call only smartform or ADOBE form while Clicking the Print Button.

Just define the Event_ID and catch the Print event ID in the Custom webdynpro Process_EVENT method,

Case Case_ID. " Print Button Case ID

If u know anything about that please let me know is there any new thing above ADOBE FORMS.

Hi experts,

Need your help here.

I am using I am able to print and generate spool of the smartform from FPM process event method and everything is fine in smartform layout printed. the issue is spool status in SP01 as 'ERROR'.

I am not able to understand why 'Error' status. below example.

Spool No. | Type | Date                | Time        | Status | Title

  XXX           XX    XX.XX.XXXX     XXXXXX   Error
