Segmentation -Removing common BPs

Dears,

We have a requirement to remove duplicate BPs from the segments which we have created.

Example: Model 1 = A,B,C

                Model 2 = C,D,E.

When i drag one model and to another, and i select one of the option which removes C from Model 1, but model 1 can not be used separately for further modeling.Say i want to add further filters on below marked Filter and create a Target Group.

HI Sweta,

Yes, you cannot use the model 1 further. Also, if you add addiotnal filter it would change the result of the union performed between the 2 models.

In such case you will have to create a seperate segment similar to model 1 and then add more filters according to your requirement to create a seperate TG.

Also, instead of performing union between the 2 segments. You can drag the filters individually used in model 1 over model 2 using the "Keep" option. And keep using model 1 as a seperate segment for TG creation.

hi Sweta,

I don't understand, why you are trying to "clean" the duplicates. the target group will never contain duplicates of BPs in case your are just using BPs (= no tupels like BP + iObject).

Dear Hakan,

Say i model two segments separately with different filters and at the end i want to make sure that these two segments dont have a common BP between them. Am i clear?

sorry, I read the "common"!

Maybe you can try this(unfortunatelyI couldn't check it):

1. Step 1 "KEEP" A or B or C
2. Step 2 "EXCLUDE " C or D or E on the segment of Step 1

=> the result should be

1. Step 1: A or B or C
2. Step 2: NOT ( C or D or E )

Yes i can make a segment or Model , however after merge or intersect , one of the model cant be reused for further split. thats my issue.
