How to migrate a WM setup of DOE and SUP from one IP range to another


I'm working at a customer where they want to migrate there CRM Mobile Sales solution using NW Mobile/DOE and SUP into a new IP setup.

The solutions are installed as WM instances, and they would like just to move the WM files from one WM setup to a new  WM setup. The issue is that the IP ranges will shift to a new range. We therefore need to change the IP adresses of the NWM and SUP in order to ensure conectivity.

Has anyone done this before and how?

One way is to redeploy the ESDMA but what will happen to all the user registrations - will they be lost?

For info we are running SUP 2.1.3

    You hope that you can take the back up of the server and move to other system. That will restore everything automatically. Problem may comes with the license of the system since the host of the system is changing. In that case re applying the license solves the problem.

      No, our hope is that we will move the virtual servers from one IP range to a new. This means that we wil shut down the WM instance in one environment, move the WM files to a new WM environment and restart the servers again. In the new WM environment, the servers will have new IP addresses from the DHCP server.
