Smartforms to PDF

Hello,

How can I easily send a smartforms by mail in PDF format ?

I'm in CRM 3.1.

It does not work,

The PDF file created is impossible to read, there are errors in it.

A sign (marker?) is not recognised : g11.35.

Hi Benoit,

This is very simple and you do not need to do anything other than a bit of configuration.

Run transaction SCOT. You should see an SMTP branch under Internet. Double click on this and you will be presented with a pop-up for General Node Data. Under the support address types you should see Fax/Internet/Pager. Click on the <Set> button next to Internet.

This will show a second popup. Under the section <Output Format for SAP documents> make sure SAPscript and Smartforms is set to PDF.

This will ensure a PDF is created when a sender and recipient is set on the SMARTFORM call.

Is this what you want ? Is this for an external e-mail ?

Hi Colin,

Sapscript and Smartforms are set to PDF,

So I just need to configure the action ? (Don't forget I'm in CRM...)

I tried to replace Smartform print by Smartform mail but then I was not able to see the action in documents.

Hi,

This is where I checked it - CRM 4.0 - this is the same going back versions as well.

Can it be a fixed recipient ? If so, go ahead and just configure the action to mail.

We have one doing the same thing over here.

The processing type of action is set to "Smartforms Mail"

The archive mode is set to "1" - Mail only

We can still see the action even though it is mail only.

Are you sure it is not configured as a manual action or does it have any start/schedule conditions that are not being fufilled and therefore the action will not show.

If you need the recipient to be more dynamic, let me know.

This is what we do.

BTW - I am out of the office in about 10 minutes and won't be back until Tuesday so do not lose heart if I do not answer until then.
