How to download HANA Live VDM ?

Hello~

I like to analyze VDM to apply HANA Live in the future, even though I use 'BW on HANA' now.

I wonder how to download HANA Live VDM.

I've looked up many discussoins and documnents like "Administrator's Guide.."  but I couldn't find a proper solution.

I downloaded contents like "HANA LIVE RDS V1.10" and "RDS BIP CONTENT V2" through RDS in the SMP.

But, the files only include scenario help files and reportng contents with extension 'lcmbiar'.

Is it possible to get VDM with RDS or another way without changing ERP ?

Regards,

Sangjae Woo.

Hi,

If you referring to the HANA Live content for the various SAP application, always go to SAP Software download center. You will find all the released content.

Thanks for your kindness.

Well, I also searched the contents files through SAP Software download center before you reply to my inquiry.

But I cannot find content files like zip or tgz.

Do you know where they are?

Hi,

I do not understand what you mean.. maybe you can attach a screen shot of your browser display? Maybe you are missing authorization for the software download?

Using my screen shot as reference, juz click on any of the the HANA Live solution link, e.g. SAP HANA ANALYTICS FOR ERP => SAP HANA ANALYTICS FOR ERP => Installation. You will see the download object number "51046572". Is this not the case for you?

Hi Sangjae,

Did you download the content?

I guess for ERP, you can download HANA Analytics for ERP content

In the downloaded content only you will get these files (Delivery Unit)

Then you can import that to HANA

Hi~ YS.

Well, I can't view the download path because the company which I work for don't have the license

for 'SAP Business Suite on SAP HANA'.

I've thought it's possible to access the menu with 'BW on HANA' license.

Thank you for your comments and screenshot.

Hi Sangjae,

Did you check the below Administrator Guide?

Also read it regarding scenarios on when HANA Live can be used

https://websmp206.sap-ag.de/~sapidb/011000358700000476572013E

You will have to download and install software component HCO_HBA_ECC as mentioned here:

http://help.sap.com/saphelp_hba/helpdata/en/36/bfedf01b0941d4924d902b361aa2e7/frameset.htm

Additionally, you can also check the belwo threads:

Thanks to Vivek for your quick guide.

I had just checked all the references you suggested quickly.

Well, I have two quesitons as belows.

#1.I cannot find the download path 'SAP HANA Add-ons' as mentioned in

'Administrator's Guide - SAP HANA Live for SAP Business Suite, Support Package Stack 03.pdf'

So, I cannot find zip files either.

I wonder where zip files are.

the full path is like below... ( page 20 )

    *SAP Service Marketplace

Go to https://service.sap.com/swdc -> Installation and Upgrade -> Browse Our Download Catalog

      -> SAP In-Memory (SAP HANA) -> SAP HANA Add-ons .

#2.Is it possible to download and import zip(?) files to HANA Studio

without replication of necessary tables in Side-by-Side method?

I just like to see the detailed views.

Regards,

Sangjae Woo.

Hi Sangjae,

#1 I checked the path and it is valid:

Go to https://service.sap.com/swdc -> Installation and Upgrade -> Browse Our Download Catalog

      -> SAP In-Memory (SAP HANA) -> SAP HANA Add-ons .

All required HANA Live packages are available there

I don't have authorizations so I can't download the content.

You can check the screenshot shared by Yeu Sheng below

#2 Well I am not sure about that

But you can try importing zip files and if import is successful, you can see the views

But when you will try to run these views it will show error

So if you just want to only see how Views are created you can try it out

Otherwise you will have to replicate data to your HANA System

Vivek
