Hello Gurus.
I did full upload for datatarget 1.now if i want to the delta..how is it possible? in this forum i read about full repair request but in this i want to know that if the update rules of the data targets for key figures is <b>addition</b> will this not give wrong results?

Hi Srikanth,
You can do an "init load without data transfer" and then proceed with delta loads.
As for the KF addition rule, there is no impact. Full, Init and Delta are different modes of extraction and load.

When you update type is addition and if the data target is ODS, its fine however data comes from the delta queue. As most of the extractor use "ABR" type whether you use Queue Delta or Unserialized V3, your data wont change. But be sure to go and check your extractor in the ROOSOURCE table for the DELTA field and then check RODELTAM for the meaning of the type used.
You just have to be careful only when you use Overwrite type for the ODS.
Let me know if you need more information.
Thanks for everyone. Pradeep as you told that we need to be careful when update type is in addition mode we need to be careful..can u just tell me wat will be the consequences if we do full repair request when update mode is overwrite and wat the precautions to be taken.
so as per ur reply "<i>When you update type is addition and if the data target is ODS, its fine however data comes from the delta queue."</i>. i didnt understand this. Initially we do full update and i dont think delta queue will be created when we do full update. correct me if i am wrong.
