DownPayment for Transport Vendors

Hi All,

I know there is down payment for vendors.

Is it possible to do down payment for Transport Vendors?

I have read some where that,its not possible with SAP Std....

Is it true? or Do any one have work around for this...plz reply

Downpayment was already available in the last millenium, FI module only, what is new is the tracking of such in purchase orders.

Do you use already the MM module to create a purchase order to the Transport vendors? Or do you only receive their bills?
