Storage bin W01 does not exist (check your entry)

Hi All,

I am trying to post the movement 311 E with the MIGO transaction but I have this error message:

• Storage bin W01   does not exist (check your entry)

This is the scenario:

• handling from warehouse MM managed to warehouse WM managed

• movement MM 311 E and movement WM 906

• handling from warehouse WM managed to warehouse MM managed

• movement MM 311 E and movement WM 906

On the second point, we have a standard error:

• Storage bin W01   does not exist (check your entry)

I think that the error is in the customizing of the movement type, could you help me?

Create it with LX20 transaction.

Hi,

Check in your material master - WM2 view whether you have maintained any Storage bin.

Also check whether you are maintaining a Fixed Bin Placement strategy for your storage type.

Normally if you are doing a storage loctn transfer within the warehouse system will only trigger a Posting change in WM.

As highlighted by Jurgen, Storage bin is a master data and you don't define them into customizing" Could you please share the screenshot to get more detail about the issue which you are facing

in customizing you usually do not have any entry with master data, and a bin is nothing else than master data. Please search the forum, there are 164 hits if you use this search term: "Storage bin"  "does not exist"
