Hierachy Report

Hi all,

I have a 3 level WBS Hierarchy wherein all my plan and actual costs are always posted to the 3rd level WBS Elements. They sum up to higher level WBS Elements.

Now I have a requirement to give the selection option for the WBS element for input. When I enter the values of either 2nd level or the 1st level WBS elements, as there are not available in the cube, I am getting 'No Applicable data'.

Is there anyway or any variable where in I can get the lower WBS elements values with the selection option.

Ex:

WBS1----

200

-WBS21----

120

-WBS31----70

-WBS32----50

-WBS22----

80

-WBS33----35

-WBS34----45

Now I need a variable such that if I entere WBS22, it should give me 80. Note that WBS1, WBS21, WBS22 are not avaialbe in the cube as it is.

Thank You

Ace

Hi Ace,

Have you looked into the option of Hierarchy node variables?

Has anyone found a way to meet Ace's requirement without using a hierarchy variable.

Our problem is that the users do not want to select their wbs element from a hierarchy structure, and as you know you cannot just type in a value to a hierarchy variable.

I am sure that I have read somewhere that there is some BC that supports this as this is how it is(can) reported in R/3.
