Hello,

We want to upgrade solution manager from 7.00 to 7.1.

Before starting upgrading we need to check hardware requirement for the same. We checked SAP sizing toolkit which include RCA by default which we dont need for developement system. Hence we are unable to calculate the sizing.

Thanks in advacne

Regards,

Viral

Hello Luis,

Thanks for your quick reply !

I already checked that sizing tool which include RCA tool by default and it will give sizing with RCA included. We dont have any plan to use Root Cause Analysis ( RCA) tool in our developement system. Hence we are not getting exact hardware requirement using this sizing tool. We only use solution manager in our developement system, we have no plan to use RCA,Charm or any other tool for solutiom manger.

Ops, true Viral, i don't read your mention to sizing, sorry about that.

If you don't plant to use RCA, charm, etc... then what functionality of solman you will use ? only mopz that is mandatory ?

U R right, we are not utilizing Solman as this is only for Development system and most important thing sap support is going to over in Dec so we need to upgrade

Ok Viral,

Then, the best option, easy and quick for that in your scenario is a "flesh installation", Solution Manager 7.1 for a minimum functionality don't need much more that your actual hardware resources. For MOPZ you only nee to complete system configuration and basic configuration and the own solution manager "managed system configuration" to be able to use Maintenance Optimicer.
