PAR DC with JDI?

Hi,

here is the scenario. I installed and configured JDI and was able to move a simple jsp file (.ear, enterprise application and web module projects) from dev to test.

Now I started trying to move par file. so i created a dc for my sc and imported a par into this DC (This par is a jspdynpage with just one jsp with "hello world").

THen I have Done DC build, checkin, activate and then release and then have seen the activation summary and deployment summary of that particular request and was seen the message that it got succeeded. It is deployed on to my DEV machine at this point of time.

Now I went to CMS andclicked on Consolidation tab. It was there in "waiting for import" state and I selected and clicked on import. the process is just running for almost an hour. Later it showed "page cannot be displayed". anyhow went again to CMS and checked whether it is really imported.

it was in state "import running". i selected that and clicked on "unlock".

and I clicked on import again, it has already taken 20 min and not sure what will happen..this is live commentary..

what might be the problems.. are therer any other configuiration steps necessary for PAR files that varies with JAR files.

i.e. all the jar files, for ex, htmlb.jar etc..., will they move along with the DC or should i create a dc for each of jar files that are in the classpath of my "PAR DC"?

please help me in this regard.

Thank you

What SP levels are you using for the different components (WebAS, JDI, NWDS)? Does your track contain the 3 base SCA's? If so, did you import those in the Consolidation step?

    Hi Reddy,

When you click on the import button for the Consolidation can please login to CBS at the same time with Administrator id and see if there is any problem with the build that is getting triggered.

In the relevant buildspace you will be able to see the request number and the logs against that.

Would request you to please have a look at these logs also.

    Regards

    Sidharth
