Info record by copy

Hi experts,

Do you know if we can create a info record by copy, for example, a purchase order we can create one by copy for another, a contract we can create one by copy for another too.

Do you know if it is possible?

We have some group of goods, who they are from the same vendor, and the materials are very similar, physically and the parameters in the system too for example,  the purchase group, Planned Delivery Time and including the price.

Hi Josiane,

Please share the reason why you want to copy Purchase Info Record for a new PIR.

Generally there is no option to copy PIR.

But you can create PIR automatically by checking InfoUpdate in Purchase Order.

To list out PIR as per vendor use TCode ME1L and as per Material use TCode ME1M.

Once PIR is created you can do the required changes.

I would recommend you to get the support from an ABAP to create a batch input program to create Info records easily from excel.

Hi,

PIR created w.r.t. Material & Vendor which update EINA.

EINE based on Plant,PurOrg & infotype.

Indirectly, if we'll say same PIR number go on use for a single vendor for all plants.

So no need 2 create copy of PIR & maintain different values.

Even I haven't checked that before.

But unfortunately it can't be happens.

Because info-record is a Price relation between vendor and material.

Regarding all information for info-record is copied from material master and vendor master.

No need to copy one info-record to another info-record.

I have checked that.

No option for copy or reference.

Hi,

Info record is master data we create material, vendor,pur.org, and plant combination price validation between periods,

purchase order outline agreements are tranctional datas so we keep on createing this orders so that we will copey the data

Why do you have such a need?

An info-record itself copies data from vendor master and material master.

To answer your question: No. But you can create PIR from a PO or a contract.
