SVT does not delete the Production Orders with TECO status

Former Member

Hi all,

After running the SVT report several times, we noticed that the Production Orders under TECO (Technically Completed) status do not delete form the SVT report.

I went thru different SAP Notes and learned that "Planned quantities are no longer tracked or deleted when the order status is either TECO, CLSD or DLT. It happens that every time we run the SVT report, the TECO orders are always there.

Is there something wrong in my SVT configuration, please?  Is there a way to discriminate the different PP order statuses under SVT?

Many thanks for your help.

Best Regards,

Mariano Saez

Hi,

Check if planned order qty and confirmed qty are equal. In some reports if these are not equal it may araise this issue.

Thanks

Dear Mariono

the whole opic is not "easy". I am not sure if Sashi is right: But he/she highligthed something which you need to consider and which gives rise sometimes to "strange" effetcs.

You can "plan2 whatsoever (e.g. PO etc.) But sometimes you decide to stop that. You remove any entry from PO, but PO is not "canceled" properly. IN such cases sometimes "open" planned lines stay in CBRC20. You can understand SVT only (or you need a lot of time to understand it) if you really know what is going on in MM, PP, SD. Nearly 80% of questions comeing up are "how to" questions; to answer these it is really not easy (only debugging WWI does have the "same" complexity).

Please check the OSS note I mentioned. There are roughly 10 Consulting Notes regarding SVT available. All contain very ! important informations (e.g limitations of SVT etc.) You should always make sure that you have implemented the recent SP. In the last years many improvements happend regrading e.g. "performance" / "usibility" etc. If I remember correct as opart of the "consurting" etc. OSS notes you find OSS notes like "FAQ" etc. Clearly these might help you (hopefully).

Be aware of the fact that e.g. REAch TSCA may "react" different as the requirements are different.

Based on complexity of your company and how you use MM, PP, SD a SVT project may need 6 months; main issue is not only the analysis of which customizing is required but training etc. etc.

Hello Christoph,

Thank you so much for your latest comments. I do also agree the topic is not
an easy one. I also checked the tables you mentioned. My main doubt is in
regards with the tables to include on the Process Order side as it seems to be
that, based on the tables included in the customizing, the SVT will react on
one way or another.

I went thru all the SAP Notes mentioned and, I think that the only thing I
can do is testing the inclusion of some tables (e.g.: AFKO . This one is not
included in my SPRO configuration and I do not know what the impact might be).

Many thanks again for your time.

Hello Balajee,

Thanks a million for the SAP Note. I have read it some minutes ago and it seems to pinpoint to the problem I mentioned. We are thinking very seriously of implementing it.

Thank you so much again for your very fruitful help. I do really appreciate it.

Dear Mariano

a.) SVT questions are comiing up rarely in this FORUM

b.) I did not really catch your topic. I try the other way around:

1.) in SVT process we have two main "status" to consider. An "open" order or a "closed" order (TECO). Now we have two "subprocesses" here in SVT. The "planning" part and the "consumed" part. Regarding the planning part you will find normally in transaction CBRC20 the corresponing order number. Any material movement will the be reflected in the calculated result. If this is the case "amounts" will be aapted and the "consumed" part will increase. If the order is "closed" you can not "update" it by using material movement. Therefore normally the "planned" part should not show up any more in CBRC20

2.) please check your customizing (seleciotn criteria of SVT run). There might by some missing entry

Hi Christoph,

Thanks for your feedback.

The main problem we face is that the SVT report shows up the TECO orders despite , as you also pointed out, they are closed.

I do not understand what you meant to say by "missing entries" in the config. As far as I know, there is no way to customize the difference between the different process order statuses, am I wrong?

Thanks for your help

Dear Mariono

please check SVT OSS consulting note (there is one importnat one) whcih explain the "configuration customzing table. "the same is mentioned shortly in online help:

http://help.sap.com/erp2005_ehp_07/helpdata/en/46/1119f1090d5a68e10000000a1553f7/content.htm?framese... (chapter Scenarios and Tables for Substance Volume Tracking)

I am pretty sure that by correct customizing you can remove the nerties to be displayed.
